Apple Cider Syrup

I copied this recipe from a blog found here.  It is so delicious on my pumpkin pancakes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 4 cups apple cider or apple juice

In a saucepan, mix together sugar, cornstarch and pumpkin pie spice.  Stir in apple cider/juice.  Bring to a boil, remembering to stir occasionally.  Boil until desired thickness, about 10 minutes.  Remove from heat and serve with pumpkin pancakes.

We always buy our cider from Sunnyside Orchards, just a few miles north of Pennock. MN

Yield: 1 quart.
