Mary kidded
these little cuties 2-12-08 on the farm.
It was very
cold in the barn so the babies spent the first night in the house
Here's our latest arrivals, a buckling
&
a doeling. They are just 4-5 hours old.
This is Peaches. She has a bit
of tan on
her head.
Yes, we put them in a box in
Ellie's
kennel crate..
Here you can see why Rich called the
buckling, Booger. He thought the little guy had poo on his nose.
One thing you can't see in these pics is that it looks like little Booger is
wearing black and white striped socks.
Rich's home made teat YUM! YUM!
Laminate flooring isn't easy to walk on
when you are hours old.
The artificial teat was made from a
surgical glove. We simply tied off the fingers, poked a few holes in
the thumb and filled it with the colostrum Carol collected. It
worked beautifully.
Good to the very last drop!
The following
pics were taken in the barn when we discovered the new arrivals
Here's Booger trying
to warm up.
Peaches was on her
feet before Booger.
Mary looks on while
Carol dries Peaches off and tries to keep her warm.
