After The Storm Clean Up, Carol's Garden June 12, 2008 brought a huge thunderstorm to the farm with straight line winds in excess of 70 mph. Although the trailer house never even rocked, our trees didn't do so well. This is the first tree we cleaned up the next day as it had landed on the garden. Carol had just put the tomato cages on the larger tomato plants a couple of days earlier. Needless to say, they were a bit mangled by the weight of the tree. All in all, only 2 tomato plants were lost. To learn more about the storm, read Rich's blog for June 12 & 13, 2008 |
